“We think
we understand the rules when we become adults, but what we really experience is
a narrowing of the imagination.” David Lynch couldn’t have said it better. In
this day and age everything seems to be against us and we forget how to stay
true to our core beings. We learn how to limit ourselves, give less, ask for
less, when in fact we all deserve the world. This is no ‘Learn how to stay
positive in 5 simple steps’ but I do believe that if we all managed to go back
and see everything through the eyes of the kids we were, the world would be an
easier place to inhabit. We would be fearless in the choices we make, the
things we say, the way we express ourselves.
Success
comes with confidence, the courage to not jump on the bandwagon and speak
through our own individualities. We could all be David Lynches. We could be
practicing Transcendental Meditation every day. We could be making great films about the human
subconscious. We could be painting bizarre, yet fascinating pictures. Because no narrow minded adult can tell David Lynch
what to do and what not to do.
So now he's making music.
